POLYGONS

What is a polygon?

A polygon is a flat or plane, two-dimensional closed shape with straight sides. The point at which two sides of a polygon meet is called VERTEX.

The word polygon derives from the Greek adjective πολύς (polús) "much", "many" and γωνία (gōnía)  "angle".

A regular polygon is a polygon whose sides and angles are equal.
